55th Annual Gasparilla Festival of the Arts Set to Return this Weekend

The 55th Annual Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts will take place at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park on March 1-2, 2025. With nearly $100,000 in prize money and scholarships available—including the $15,000 Raymond James Best of Show Award—this juried exhibition provides an opportunity for artists to present their work to an estimated 100,000 attendees.

Since its inception 54 years ago, the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts has grown into a major cultural event, featuring nearly 300 selected artists from across the country. Attendees will have access to various artistic mediums, including ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, and woodwork. The festival will also highlight emerging artists, offering them a platform to exhibit their work.

Beyond visual arts, the festival will include musical performances, with Puerto Rican composer, singer, and cuatro player Fabiola Méndez headlining this year. The weekend will also feature performances from local young artists.

  • Where: Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, Downtown Tampa
  • Admission: Free! VIP tickets are available starting at $150.

The festival also supports aspiring artists through scholarships. The deadline for the 2025 scholarship application is March 9, 2025.
