The 2025 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg marks the exciting start of the IndyCar season, set against the stunning waterfront of downtown St. Petersburg. As North America’s premier open-wheel racing series, IndyCar will launch its first event of the 2025 season from February 28 through March 3, with a thrilling kickoff party on Thursday, February 27.

Friday, February 28

The highlight of the day will be the much-anticipated NTT IndyCar Series cars hitting the track, with a driver autograph session wrapping up the evening.

Another jam-packed day awaits as the Mazda MX-5 Cup, USF2000, and USF Pro 2000 continue to battle it out. Indy NXT drivers will have their chance to qualify and meet with fans for autographs. The day’s grand finale features practice and qualifying sessions for the top-tier IndyCar drivers.
Sunday, March 2
Sunday is all about high-intensity racing. The day kicks off with a feeder series race, leading into a thrilling 45-lap Indy NXT contest. The weekend culminates with the headline event—the 100-lap IndyCar race, promising edge-of-your-seat action from start to finish.

Before the engines roar to life, join the IndyCar Party in the Park on Thursday, February 27, at 5 p.m. in North Straub Park.
